Compare cellphone and internet bundles

Although Allconnect does not sell mobile phone services, you can get an internet plan from your provider with us and add a cellphone plan later, which can result in monthly savings for you.

Our approach: We determine the best mobile phone and internet bundles for you

We looked at various factors to determine the best cellphone and internet service providers. In addition to selecting plans from the most widely available providers, we looked at customer satisfaction, availability of products and plan details. Those details include monthly price compared to what you’re getting, data caps, the number of phone lines included and more.

Plans, pricing and details were sourced from each provider to bring you an accurate picture of what you’ll get when you subscribe for each service.

Bringing all that information together, along with carefully curated reviews from other sources and customers, we have compiled our picks for the best mobile phone and internet packages of 2024.

Our picks for the best mobile and internet packages

While you might find regional providers that will give you mobile phone service and internet all in one, we looked for companies that were more widely available. Here are the top picks for mobile and internet bundles.

Spectrum

The Spectrum One plan includes internet, advanced Wi-Fi and mobile phone service. Right now, new subscribers can get all of that for $49.99/mo. for the first year. You’ll find no contracts or data caps on your 300 Mbps internet and added security for your Wi-Fi connection. Spectrum is available in metro areas of most states. Check Spectrum’s website to see if the bundle is available where you live.

Pros

  • No data caps: Spectrum won’t cap your data, but you’ll see reduced speeds after 20 GB of use per phone line. If you’re someone who doesn’t use a lot of data, this shouldn’t be an issue for you.

  • Readily available: Though Spectrum and this bundle aren’t available everywhere, the availability is quite vast, so most likely, you’ll be able to take advantage of this bundle.

Cons

  • The price will go up: Though you’ll get the first year for $49.99/mo., the price will increase after that. Right now, Spectrum lists the full price as $84.98/mo., but you’ll be subject to paying whatever the current rate is when your 12 months are up.

  • Below average customer satisfaction: Spectrum’s score on the American Customer Satisfaction Index is 63/100, which places it below several of its competitors in this space and below the industry average of 64 in 2022.

T-Mobile internet and phone

When you have T-Mobile’s Magenta Max plan, you’ll not only get unlimited premium data, but you also may be able to save on an internet plan as well. The savings can vary with whatever deal T-Mobile is running, but you’ll most likely get at least $20/mo. off your bill when you combine services. You can get T-Mobile 5G internet for as low as $40/mo., plus fiber internet is available in some areas.

Pros

  • Easy to switch: T-Mobile goes above and beyond to encourage customers to ditch their old providers and come over, including offering gift cards and compensation to break old contracts.

  • Above average customer satisfaction: T-Mobile’s score on the American Customer Satisfaction Index is 73/100, which places it above several of its competitors in this space and above the industry average of 66 in 2023.

Cons

  • Service isn’t everywhere yet: T-Mobile is still growing its internet coverage area, which means it’s not super available yet.

  • You must have a family plan for the discount: You’ll only get a discount on your bundle if you have a Magenta Max family plan with at least two lines, making this not as attractive of a deal for single people.

Verizon

When you add Verizon internet to your Verizon mobile phone plan, you automatically save. Prices vary based on what internet is available in your area (Fios or cable), but Verizon is currently offering up to 50% off internet service if you have a mobile plan that’s more than $30/mo. If you have one of Verizon’s unlimited mobile plans like Get More, Do More, Play More you’ll have unlimited data to work with.

Pros

  • Widely available: Verizon is available nearly everywhere, and while Verizon 5G Home Internet and Fios isn’t, you’ll still largely have access to Verizon’s mobile service.

  • Above average customer satisfaction: Verizon’s score on the American Customer Satisfaction Index is 75/100, which places it above all of its competitors in this space and at the industry average of 75 in 2023.

Cons

  • Fios isn’t everywhere: Though Verizon is working hard to roll out Fios around the country, it’s still not available everywhere.

  • Can get pricey: Though Verizon will offer some deals when you bundle, as well as perks like a Disney+ subscription, the prices can be steep for some people.

AT&T

AT&T also has a few different plans to choose from to suit your budget and needs. With AT&T Unlimited, you can get up to five lines of mobile service. With the premium plan, which is $85/mo. for one line, you get unlimited data that never slows down. You can then add your internet service to this, which varies in price. AT&T is usually running a promo for starting service, like right now, which includes a 25% discount to open a mobile account if you’re already an internet subscriber. AT&T offers fiber internet starting at $55/mo. though it isn’t available everywhere in the country.

Pros

  • Above average customer satisfaction: AT&T’s score on the American Customer Satisfaction Index is 75/100, which places it above several of its competitors in this space and above the industry average of 75 in 2023.

  • AT&T offers fiber internet: Fiber internet is often faster and more reliable than cable internet. While AT&T doesn’t yet offer it everywhere in the country, it is available in many places.

Cons

  • Can get pricey: While AT&T does offer a discount for bundling, not all of its services are available everywhere, so in some states, it can get pricey to have cable internet from another provider and AT&T’s mobile service.

  • Slow speeds: If AT&T’s fiber internet is available in your area, this won’t be an issue, but if it’s not, AT&T’s DSL internet tops out around 100 Mbps, which is enough for a small household that doesn’t access the internet for work, gaming or school.

Optimum

Optimum offers a variety of internet plans to choose from, as well as a couple mobile plans to add on. No matter which internet and phone plan you pick, you’ll get a discount. However, the higher internet plans will offer a larger discount with bundling — the savings are $10-$15/mo. Internet packages start at 100 Mbps and go up, and unlimited phone plans start at $45/mo. and go down from there in price. You can also opt for a non-unlimited plan for a lower price, but you’ll be limited to 1 GB or 3 GB of data. Optimum is a more limited provider, largely offering service on the East Coast and some parts of Middle America.

  • Reasonably priced: Optimum’s Unlimited mobile plans start at $45/mo. for one line but drops down to $15/mo. for more lines. Plus, you can save up to $15/mo. by bundling.

  • Plenty of plans: Optimum makes it easy to design a plan that suits you by offering four different mobile plans and five different internet plans.

  • Not widely available: Optimum is one of the more limited service providers, only available in a select number of states, including New York, Texas, New Jersey and North Carolina.

  • Below average customer satisfaction: Optimum’s score on the American Customer Satisfaction Index is 59/100, which places it below all of its competitors in this space and below the industry average of 64 in 2022.

Xfinity

With Xfinity, you start by getting your internet service and then adding mobile service on top of that. In fact, you can’t do Xfinity Mobile if you don’t have Xfinity internet. Internet plans start at $19.99/mo. for 75 Mbps for 12 months and increase from there (in terms of price and speed).

Getting the equipment adds to your monthly fee, and your phone bill is on top of that. However, you can get a deal by adding the phone, which varies based on what plans you pick and where you’re located.

Unlimited mobile plans start at $30/mo. per line, though you can opt for a per-gig plan. Xfinity is widely available around the U.S., as it’s the largest cable provider, but your prices will vary based on your location.

  • Above average customer satisfaction: Xfinity’s score on the American Customer Satisfaction Index is 73/100, which places it above some of its competitors in this space and above the industry average of 75 in 2023.

  • Plenty of plans: Xfinity offers several internet and mobile phone plans to choose from, so you can get a cheap service if you don’t need a ton of data or speed.

  • Contracts: When you sign up for the budget-friendly Xfinity plans, you’re entering into a 12-month contract, which can be pricey to get out of if you want to bail early.

  • Some features come at a premium cost: While Xfinity does offer a lot of plans to choose from, getting a plan with unlimited data, equipment, features and no contract will add up. Though those plans will save you money on mobile (while the cheaper plans won’t), it still can get pricey.

Final verdict: Best cellphone and internet bundle

Based on service provided, Verizon or AT&T will be the best picks for bundling mobile and internet. They are not necessarily the lowest priced, but both providers are giants in their fields: both offer quality phone service coverage and internet. Plus, with either of these, you can add to your bundle with TV or home phone.

With either one, you can get fiber internet, which is the best option on the market, and you have access to 5G phone service. However, strictly going on price, Spectrum offers an excellent deal for phone and internet for under $50/mo., and it’s tough to beat that price if you are in their service area.
